South Australia Police will send 20 officers to Central Australia from next week after a request from the Northern Territory police commissioner. NT Deputy Police Commissioner Martin Dole said the additional police would allow continued “high presence, high-visibility policing” in Alice Springs, where a two-week youth curfew, due to end on Wednesday, is in place.
